Being a By-law to amend the rate of
interest established in certain capital
works construction by-laws.
WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering passed the
following capital works construction by-laws numbers 3541/69,
3547/70, and 3695/70;
AND WHEREAS the interest rates quoted in these by-laws are
$%, $% and 9% respectively;
AND WHEREAS the current debenture market dictates an increase
in the rate of interest on debentures being sold for these
capital works;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the rate of interest appearing on the capital works

construction by-laws 3541/69, 3547/-7-& and 3695/,"d 'be amended
to read 9-112% rather than the ea, g% and 9% now appearing on
these by-laws.
By-law read a first, second and third time and passed in open
Council this day of ?? 1970.
