Sherman Scott water treat- ment plant. WHL:RF,AS it is deemed expedient to enlarge and improve the J. Shermali Scott water treatment plant to increase the capacity thereof from 1,250,000 gallons per day to 3,750,000 gallons per day at a total estimated cost of "573,175.00; AND WHEREAS it is proposed to finance the said work Mcr ro exc?.e.D by the sale of debentures bearing interest a;t 10;; per annum over a period of twenty years witii the annual repayment of :;467,325.00 to be paid from the revenue on eater sales; ;JOW THRREFORE THE COUT CIL OF T!Y, CORPORATI011 OF T11F TOWNSHIP OF PICKE;R.I'JG ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The J. Shermaa Scott water treatment plant be improved and enlarged by the add.itio.a of a solids contact clarifier, two -rapid sand filter units, a clea- well and a 1,000,31`G gallon clear water storage reservoir, includi,i the installation of additional low lift and high lift pumps, c-iomical feed and chlorination equipment, a dlosel generator and all piping and appuw^tenances in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Oliver Lloyd Associates I,Lnitcd, at an estit.iated cost of `;573,175.00 under the provisicAs of section 37c?(1)52 of The Eunicipal Act, R.S.O. 1960. 2. There shall be borrowed b, the issuing of debentures repayable over a period of 20 years for the purposes set out in clause 1 the suu of ;573,175.00, which sum shall be a charge against all the rateable property in the Tovrns:iip of Pickering. 3. The Treasurer of the Township may, subject to the approval of Council, agree with any bank or person for temporary advances of money to meet the cost of the work pending; COM- pletion thereof. 4. The EnEinecr of the Corporation is i,ereby authorized to make such plans, profiles and specifications and furnish such information as may be necessary for the making of contracts for the doing of the said work or for carrying out the same by day labour and the work whall be carried on and executed under the superintendence and according to the directions and orders of the said Engineer.
