By-Law Number
A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to define
certain built up areas and designate
a limited rate of speed at which
motor vehicles may be driven on
certain roads in the Township of
Pickering.
WHEREAS sub-section 1 (b) of Section 59 of The Highway Traffic Act
R.S.O. 1970 provides that no person shall drive a motor vehicle
at a greater rate of speed than thirty miles per hour in a built-
up area;
AND WHEREAS such built-up areas are required to be designated and
proper signs displayed showing that such areas are built-up areas;
NOW THEREFORE the Cousci4 of the Corporation of the Township of
Pickering enacts as follows:
1. The streets or parts of streets in the Tw nship of Pickering
listed in Schedule "A" appended hereto are hereby declared to
be built-up areas.
2. This by-law shall come into effect when the necessary signs
have been erected in accordance with the regulations of the
Highway Traffic Act.
3. All by-laws inconsistent herewith are repealed to the extent
necessary to give effect to this by-law.
