being a by-law to authorize the
construction and financing of the
First Phase of the Greenwood Ice
Arena Project.
WHEREAS The Corporation of the Township of Pickering
proposes to construct an arena on the Greenwood Athletic Field.
AND WHEREAS said construction may be phased so as
to facilitate the financing thereof and so as to enable the
various units to be used independently as completed.
AND WHEREAS it is proposed to construct a First Phase
consisting of an administration building, including manager's
office, changing rooms, showers, storage areas, toilets and a
meeting; hall.
NOW THEREFORE THr; COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:-
1. The construction and financing of the said First
Phase of the Greenwood Ice Arena Project at a total estimated

cost of $64,66A:Hfl be and the same is hereby authorized.
?, The sum of $30,000.00 of the said total estimated \
cost to be financed by the issue of debentures of the Corporation
having a term of 20 years and the balance of the total estimated
cost to be financed by way of a grant to be applied for under
The Community Centres Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 73, and a

subsidy to be received from the Federal Government Authpritt '
2. This by-law is subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board.
