BY-LAW NUMBER 073/7/
being a by-law to authorize the
extension of time to complete the
purchase of the stopped-up portion
of St. Martin's Drive.
WHEREAS by By-law 404071 passed on August 16th 1971
Bramalea Consolidated Developments Limited was given the right
to complete the purchase of the stopped-up portion of St. Martin's
Drive as closed by By-law 380270 for the sum of $33,750.00 within
one month from the date of the passing of the said by-law.
AND WHEREAS the sale of the said lands was not completed
within the one month period and it is deemed desirable to extend
the time for the completion of the said sale.
AND WHEREAS Section 477 (3) of The Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1960 provides that the Council may by a subsequent by-law fix a
new date within which Bramalea Consolidated Developments Limited
may complete the purchase.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the soil and freehold of the stopped-up portion of
the road allowance known as St. Martin's Drive (formerly Fairport
Street) of Registered Plan No. 239, as more particularly described
in Schedule "A" attached hereto be sold to Bramalea Consolidated
Developments Limited for the sum of $33,750.00, said parcel con-
taining by admeasurement an area of 0.676 acres.
2. That the said Bramalea Consolidated Developments Limited be
allowed the right to complete the purchase of the said stopped-up

portion of the road allowance for the said price within tmw
month from the date of the passing of this by-law.
3. That if the said Bramalea Consolidated Developments Limited
does not exercise the said purchase within the time limited herein
or within the time limited in any subsequent by-law, the Township
may sell said lands to any other person at the same or a greater
price.
4. That the Reeve and Clerk be and the same are hereby authorized
to execute any documents necessary to give effect to this by-law.
