A By-law of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering to set a date, hour and place
for receiving nominations for candidates
for Council for the years 1972 and 1973 and
the date and hours of elections if necessary,
and to establish an Advance Poll.
The Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the place for receiving nominations for the
offices of Reeve, Deputy Reeve, and five Councillors
for the Township of Pickering shall be in:
The Pickering District High School,
Church Street North, Pickering, Ontario.
on Friday the 19th day of November, 1971, and that
the hour during which such nominations shall be
received shall commence at 7.00 otclock p.m. and end
at the hour of 8.00 o'clock p.m.
2. THAT should an election be necessary for such offices,
a poll of the electors will be held on Saturday, the
4th day of December, the location of such polling
places for such election will be named in another by-
law. The hours during which such polls will be open
will be between the hours of 10.00 otclock a.m. and
8.00 o'clock p.m.
3. (a) An Advance Poll is hereby established for the purpose
of receiving the votes of voters of all polling sub-
divisions who are qualified to vote at an advance
poll.
(b) The poll will be located in the Township Building
and the polling place will be open between the hours
of 3.00 o'clock and 9.00 o'clock in the afternoon on
the 27th day of November, 1971.
4. THAT By-law Number 3657 be and the same is hereby
repealed.
