BY-LAW Number
Being a by-law of the Corporation
of the Township of Pickering to
appoint an Acting Clerk.
WHEREAS Mr. D. J. Plitz has tendered his resignation as
The Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering
effective June 29th, 1973;
AND WHEREAS in accordance with Article 215 (3) of The
Municipal Act, Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970,
Chapter 284, Council may appoint an Acting Clerk pro tempore,
who shall have all the powers and duties of the Clerk under
The Municipal Act, and every other Act;
THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
PICKERING THEREFORE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:-
(a) That Mr. J. R. Boxma, Township Solicitor, be and
is hereby appointed Acting Clerk of the
Corporation of the Township of Pickering,
effective immediately.
(b) That the duties of the said Acting Clerk shall be
those as defined in Article 215 (1) of The
Municipal Act.
(c) That By-law No. 2978 be, and is hereby repealed.
