BY-LAW NUMBER
Being a by-law to authorize an
application to the Ontario Municipal
Board for an Order enlarging the
defined sewer area in the Township
of Pickering.
WHEREAS by By-law #2489 of The Corporation of the Township
of Pickering passed on the 7th day of March, 1960, Sewer
Area #1, was established and defined as including all
lands in the Township of Pickering lying West of the
Rouge River in the Township of Pickering and all those
lands lying South of the Provincial Highway Number 401
to Lake Ontario, and from the Town of Ajax to the Rouge
River;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to enlarge the said
defined Sewer Area #1;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering
intends to apply to the Ontario Municipal Board for an
order, enlarging the present sewer area pursuant to the
provisions of Section 15 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Township ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Defined Sewer Area Number 1 of the Township of
Pickering is hereby enlarged by adding thereto
those lands in the said Township described as follows:
ALL the lands North of Provincial Highway No. 401
lying between the Borough of Scarborough and the
Village of Pickering South of the Road allowance
between Concession 1 and Concession 2 so that the
defined Water Area #1 may be described as follows:
ALL lands in the Township of Pickering lying South
of the road allowance between Concession 1 and
Concession 2 and North of Lake Ontario, bounded,
on the West by the East limit of the Borough of
Scarborough and bounded on the East by the West
limits of the Village of Pickering and the Town of
Ajax.
The aforesaid lands are more particularly shown
outlined in red on the sketch plan annexed hereto
as Schedule "A" and forming a part of this By-law.
