HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4284/72THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER <72 Being a by-law to provide for the sale of Part Lots 2 and 3, Concession V, Township of Uxbridge WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Pickering and the Corporation of the Township of Uxbridge are owners in fee simple of land and premises in Part Lots 2 and 3, Concession V, Township of Uxbridge; AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Pickering has agreed by Resolution #346/72 passed on November 6, 1972, to negotiate the sale of these lands to the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority at the price of $78,250.00; NOW THEREFORE BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED 1. That the Council agrees to sell its lands in Part Lots 2 and 3, Concession V, of the Township of Uxbridge to the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, more particularly described in Schedule "A" attached and forming a part of this by-law. 2. That the Reeve and Clerk of the Township of Pickering be and are hereby authorized and instructed to execute, on behalf of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering a deed of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering of the said lands to the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. Reeve 1A4 a{ Clerk Schedule "A" to By-Law #?17Z" ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Township of Uxbridge in the County of Ontario and Province of Ontario, containing by admeasurement 69.62 Acres be the same more or less and being composed of Part of Lots 2 and 3 in Concession 5 of the said Township and the Limits of which said parcel of land may be more particularly described as follows: PREMISING that the Easterly Limit of said Lot 2 has a course of North 17°09' West and relating all bearings herein thereto; COMMENCING at a Survey Momument at the North East Angle of said Lot 2 being also the South East Angle of said Lot 3; THENCE South 17°09' East along the Easterly Limit of said Lot 2 1320.75 Feet to a Survey Monument at the South East Angle of said Lot 2; THENCE South 71°55' West along the Southerly Limit of said Lot 2 660.00 Feet to a Survey Monument; THENCE South 72°14' West along the Southerly Limit of said Lot 2 1113.87 Feet to a Survey Monument; THENCE North 18°49150" West 248.24 Feet to a Survey Monument; THENCE North 15°18'50" West 356.39 Feet to a Survey Monument; THENCE North 17°43' West 257.08 Feet to a Survey Monument; THENCE North 16°21'30" West 455.69 Feet to a Survey Monument in the line between said Lots 2 and 3; THENCE North 71°25' East along the last mentioned line 551.43 feet to a Survey Monument; THENCE North 72°12'50" East along the last mentioned line 684.80 Feet to a survey Monument; THENCE North 16°24'50" West 1319.88 Feet to a Survey Monument in the Northerly Limit of said Lot 3; THENCE North 72°05' East along the last mentioned Limit 513.08 Feet to a Survey Monument at the North East Angle of said Lot 3; THENCE South 17°09' East along the Easterly Limit of said Lot 3, 1321.06 Feet to the point of commencement; THE HEREINDESCRIBED parcel of land is further shown outlined on a Plan of Survey prepared by Donavan and Fleishman Company Limited dated 26th of August 1970 .
