BY-LAW NUMBER y 7:z
A by-law to authorize the Reeve and Clerk
to execute Transfer of Freehold Land in
favour of the County of Ontario.
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Pickering acquired
as a condition of consent, Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Plan 40R-641
for purposes of accommodating future road widenings;
AND WHEREAS it was the Municipality's intent to acquire said
land for the purpose of road widening of Bayly St. (future
Lawrence Avenue Extension);
AND WHEREAS the Lawrence Avenue Extension will be an OntariL
County project;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the said land Parts 1, 2, 3,
and 4 of Plan 40R-641 be transferred to the County of
Ontario and that the Reeve and Clerk be authorized to
execute the Transfer of Freehold Land in favour of the
County of Ontario.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in
open Council this 18th day of September, 1972.
