BY-LAW NUMBER t,' 22-
Being a by-law to establish a
Community Centre in the Township
of Pickering.
WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of a
Community Centre in Ontario under the Community Centres
Act, R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 73, Section 4(1);
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering
deem it desirable to establish a Community Centre in the
West Rouge area of the Township of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering have
acquired under a 25 year Lease Agreement the Rouge Hill
Golf and Country Club Hous and two acres of land;
AND WHEREAS the said lease agreement is between the
Township of Pickering and Sarick Homes (Ontario Limited,
Samuel Sarick Limited and Company, Nordel Development
Limited and Jodin Developments Limited, and said rental
is for a nominal sum of $1.00 per year.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Township of
Pickering -
1. That a Community Centre defined as a Community Hall
under The Community Centres Act, 1970, and regulations
thereunder be established in the West Rouge area of
the Township of Pickering,
2. That the Community Centre shall be maintained as a
Community Centre by the Council in conformity with
the Act and regulations made thereunder.
3. That the said Community Centre will be called the
West Rouge Community Centre.
By-Law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in
