Being a by-law to establish a Community
Centre in the Township of Pickering
WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of a Community
Centre in Ontario under the Community Centres Act, 1970,
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to establish a Community Centre
in the Hamlet of Greenwood,
AND WHEREAS the said Community Centre will be called the
Greenwood Community Centre;
THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a Community Centre defined as a Community Hall
under the Community Centres Act, 1970, and the
regulations thereunder be established in the Hamlet
of Greenwood in Part N 1/2 Lot 12, Concession 5
of the Township of Pickering, and that the said
Community Centre be administered by the Council of
the Township of Pickering.
2. That the Community Centre shall be maintained as a
community centre by the Council in conformity with
the Act and regulations made thereunder.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in open
Council this day of 1972.
