being a by-law to amend By-law
Number 4092/71 passed on the 6th
day of December 1971.
WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering passed a
by-law on the 6th day of December 1971 authorizing the sale of the
stopped-up portion of the road allowance known as Greenwood Road,
Sideline 11/12, Concession 4;
AND WHEREAS the said by-law provided for the completion of
the sale of the said stopped-up portion within one month from the
date of passing of this by-law;
AND WHEREAS it has been found necessary to extend the date
for the completion of the sale of the said stopped-up portion of
the road allowance;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:-
1. Section 2 of said BT-law Number 4092/71 is hereby amended
by the deletion of the words 'one month" in the third and fourth
lines of said section 2 and the substitution of the words "five
months" so that the section will read as follows:-
"2. That the said Canadian Pacific Railway Company be
allowed the right to complete the purchase of the
said stopped-up portion of the road allowance for
the said price within five months from the date of
the passing of this by-law."
By-law read a first, second and third time and passed in open
Council this 4 t, day of 4" 1972.
