Being a by-law to amend By-Law
Number 3036 and By-Law Number
3037 to permit the use by the
Municipality of Metropolitan
Toronto of certain lands for
refuse disposal purposes.
WHEREAS By-Law Number 4096/71 was enacted by the Council
of the Township of Pickering on December 21st, 1971, to
permit the use by the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto
of certain lands set out therein for refuse disposal
purposes;
AND WHEREAS by a decision dated July 9, 1974, the Ontario
Municipal Board approved part of the lands set out in
By-Law 4096/71.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT notwithstanding the provisions of Restricted
Area By-Law 3036 and Restricted Area By-Law 3037,
as amended, enacted by the former Township of
Pickering to which the Town of Pickering is
successor, the lands outlined in red on Map 1
attached hereto and forming part of this By-Law
may be used as municipally owned and operated
areas for the purposes of receiving, dumping and
disposing of waste.
2. THAT Restricted Area By-Law Number 3036 and
Restricted Area By-Law Number 3037, as amended,
enacted by the former Township of Pickering to
which the Town of Pickering is successor, be and
the same are hereby further amended only to the
extent necessary to give effect to the provisions
of this By-Law.

3. No part of this By-Law shall come into force
without the approval of the Ontario Municipal
Board, but subject to such approval, the
By-Law shall take effect from the date of
passing thereof.
4. By-Law Number 91/74 is hereby repealed.

open Council this VSt day of October, A.D., 1974.
