Being a By-law to authorize the Mayor
and Clerk to sign a promissory note
in favour of the Treasurer of Ontario
to cover the cost of renovation to
the Rouge Hills Library.
WHEREAS Chapter 384, R.S.O. 1970, Section 293 (2) permits
the Municipality to incur debt for purposes of the
Corporation providing the repayment of it is pro-
vided for in the estimates of the current year and
the total will be repaid within the term of
Council; and
WHEREAS it is necessary to raise a sum of $10,927.29 to
cover the cost of renovation to the Rouge Hills
Library; and
WHEREAS the total cost of the project amounted to $15,529.29
of which $4,592.00 is to be assumed by other levels
of Government under the provisions of the Winter
Works Program;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED that the Mayor and Clerk are
authorized to sign a promissory note in favour of
the Treasurer of Ontario in the amount of $6.583.00.
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time, and PASSED in
