Being a By-law to authorize the
execution of an Agreement between
the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering and Ontario Hydro
The Corporation of the Town of Pickering ENACTS AS
la[�7�MQil:�'�
1. That the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to
sign an Agreement between the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering and Ontario Hydro with
respect to the temporary closing of Brock Road
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED

hereinafter called the Town
OP THE SECOND YART
WI3EREAS Ontario Hydro wishes to construct ,Zn
addition to its Pickering Generating Si;ation located in
the Town oS Pi.ckering�
AND WHBREAS Ontario Hydro wishes the ibwn to
close a portion of Brock Road during the construction of
the said addition and the Town is agreeable thereto.
NOW THEREFORE THIS AGREEM�N'1' WI'PNESS�Tl� that
in consideration of the sun: of One Dollar o£ lawful mone,y
of Canada now paid by Ontario Hydro to the Town (the
receipt whereoi' is hereby acknowledged) and the mui�ual
covenants and a.greements hereinafter set forth� the
parties hereto covenant and agree each wit11 the other as
follows:
(1) Tize Town agrees to close that portion oi' P�rocl�
Road described in Schedule "�" nttached to and
forrning part of this Agreement ��nd shown on a
plan marked Schedule "B" attached to and form-
ing part of this Agreement commencing on�a date
during the year 197� to be mutually agreed upon

and continuing until Ontario Flydro adviscs the
Town in writing that construction of the
addition to Pickcring Generating Station has
been completed.
�2) Subject to the provisions of clause 3 hereof
the ToUm agrees that Ontario Hydro shall have
corri�lete control over thc use oP i;Yie �aid ro��d
dur9_ng the period of closureo
(3) Ontario Hydro agrees to permit access by
operators and staff of The Regional I�iunicipality
ot Burham and visitors to the Sherman Scott
��iltration Planto
(4) During the period of closure of Lhe said road�
Ontario tIydro agrees to provide whatever
security and protection is required by The
Regional Municipality of Durham for its twenty
inch diamel�er domestic water supply main on the
right-of-wayo
(5) On�tario ilydro a�;rees t,o provide and m�tiintain
during the period o£ closurc of the said road a
routc for �elephone and elcctrical ��ower to the
Sherman Scott Piltration Planto
(6) Upon completion of construction of the addition
to Pickering Generating Station� Onta.rio Iiydro
agrees to replace the said road in its �resent
location or in such other location as may be
mutually agreed upon by the parties hereto.
The replacement road shall be consi;ructed to
the same standard as the present road or'to
such otYier standard as the parti.es i�ereto may
mutu�lly agree upono

Ontario Hydro agrees to reimburse the Town
for all costs incurred by the Town in it
taking the necessary steps to obtain the
closing of Brock Road.
This Agreement shall enure to the benefit of
and be binding upon the partics hcr�to �nci
their respective successors and assigns.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have
caused this Agreement to be executed by affixing their
corporate seals attested by the signatures of their
proper officers duly authorized in that behalf.

SCHEDUL� "A"
IN THE Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of
Durham, f'ormerly in the Township of Pickering, in the County of
Ontario and tkie Province of Ontario, being the Road Allowance between
Lots 18 and 19 Ran�re 2, Broken Front Concession, having an area of
4.1 acres, more or less, as shown on the attached print of PLAN
2o5TD1g668L anc7 more particularly described as follows:
COMNENCING at an iron bar at the Northeast corner of the
said Lot lg;
THENCE South 17 de�rees and 21 minutes East along the Western limit
of the aforesaid Road Allowance, a distance of 2706 feet, more or
less, to the Water's Edge of Lake Ontario;
' THENCE Easterly alon� the said Water's Edge to the Eastern limit of
the said Road Allowance;
THENCE North 17 degrees and 21 minutes West along the said Eastern
limit 2670 feet, more or less, to an iron bar at the Northvrest corner
of the aforesaid Lot 18;
THENCE South 72 degrees, 51 minutes and 20 seconds West 66,00 feet
to the point of commencement;
BEARINGS herein are astronomic and are referred to the
meridian through the Northwest angle of Lot 20 Range 2 Broken Front
Concession, Township of Pickering.
