A by-law of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering to stop up and
close a part of the road allowance
in Lot 18, Concession 9, of the
Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
proposes to stop up and close a part of road allowance in Lot
18, Concession 9, of the Town of Pickering as provided for under
the Municipal Act, R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 284, Section 443, (1) (c);
AND WHEREAS the said road known as Robert Street, in
the Village of Claremont, in the Town of Pickering, as shown
lying adjacent to Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and abutting Lot 13,
on Registered Plan 98 is to be closed;
AND WHEREAS said road allowance is to be deeded to
George Smith and June Smith:
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published
once a week for four consecutive weeks and posted up for one
month in six of the most public places in the immediate
neighbourhood of the said public highway;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. The lands described as that part of Robert Street
in the Village of Claremont, in the Town of
Pickering, which lies adjacent to Lots 8, 9, 10, 11,
12, and abutting Lot 13, on Registered Plan Number
98 as registered in the Registry Office of the
Regional Municipality of Durham and as outlined in
red on the attached sketch are hereby stopped up
and closed as a public highway.
2. That the said lands be conveyed to George Smith and
June Smith.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in open
Council this O L day of 4AAACw , 1974.
