THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUMBER 25/74
Being a by-law to authorize the
execution of a deed dated January
30, 1974 between J.D.S. Investments
Limited and the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS by By-law #4461/73 the execution of a deed
between J.D.S. Investments Limited and the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering was authorized for execution;
AND WHEREAS certain lands were erroneously omitted from
the said deed, the conveyance of which had been agreed to in a
certain agreement dated the day of March, 1973, entered
into between the Corporation of the Township of Pickering, J.D.S.
Investments Limited, and others;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
has agreed to the conveyance of Part 1, Plan 40R-640 in order to
correct the said error;
NOW THEREFORE the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute a
deed between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
and J.D.S. Investments Limited dated the 30th day of
January, 1974.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in open
Council this 4t day of ( 1974.

THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUMBER 26/74
A By-law to confirm the proceedings
of the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering at its meeting
held on the
4th day of February 1974
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being
Chapter 284 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1970,
the powers of a municipal corporation are to be exercised
by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 241 of the Municipal
Act, being Chapter 284 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario,
1970, the powers of every council are to be exercised
by By-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings
of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
at these meetings be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: .
1. The action of the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering at its meeting held on the
4th day of February 1974 in respect of each recomm-
en anon containe in the Reports of the Committees
and each motion and resolution passed and other action
taken by the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering at this meeting, is hereby adopted and
confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly
embodied in this By-law;
2. The Mayor and proper officials of the Corporation of
the-Town of Pickering are hereby authorized and
directed to do all things necessary to give effect to
the action of the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering referred to in the preceding
section hereof;
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute all documents necessary in that behalf
and to affix thereto the Seal of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering.
