BY-LAW NUMBER 20/74
Being a By-law of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering to appoint
an Acting Mayor
WHEREAS Section 209 (3) of the municipal Act, Revised
Statutes of Ontario 1970, provides for the appointment of
an Acting Head of Council in the absence of the Head of
Council, and;
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient by the Municipality
to appoint an Acting Mayor;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED:
That Councillor J.E. Anderson be and he is hereby
appointed as Acting Mayor and in the absence of the Mayor,
shall act in his place.
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED in
Council this Z/5t day of 1974.
