HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 313/75THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER ?)/3 1 Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 4394/73 of the former Township of Pickering which provided for the sale of part of Lot 18, Range 3, Broken Front Concession to Orangebrook Developments Limited. WHEREAS By-law Number 4394/73 of the former Township of Pickering authorized the Reeve and Clerk to execute on behalf of the Corporation of the former Township of Pickering a deed conveying certain land to Orangebrook Developments Limited, more particularly described on Reference Plan 40R-1065 filed in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of the Region of Durham; AND WHEREAS by letter of July 20th 1973 the Ministry of Treasury Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs approved the sale of this property as required under Section 122 of the Regional Municipality of Durham Act; AND WHEREAS the purchaser chose to take title in the following manner, Orangebrook Developments Limited as to an undivided 50% interest and Ballycroy Investments Limited as to the remaining 50% interest; AND WHEREAS by so doing the authority granted to the sale by By-law Number 4394/73 is open to question. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED That By-law Number 4394/73 of the former Township of Pickering is hereby amended as follows: 112. That the Reeve and the Clerk of the Township of Pickering be and are hereby authorized and instructed to execute, on behalf of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering, a deed of the said lands to the said Orangebrook Developments Limited as to an undivided 50% interest and Ballycroy Investments Limited as to the remaining 50% interest."
