HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 295/75TIME CORPORATIO14 OF ThE TOWJ OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER a9s 7j WHEREAS Section 356, R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 284 as amended, authorizes a municipality to regulate the hours of operation of retail gasoline service stations; and WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to regulate the hours of operation of retail gasoline service stations within designated areas of the Town of Pickering; BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED: 1. That all retail gasoline service stations located in that portion of the Town of Pickering described in Schedule "A" annexed hereto and forming part of this by-law, shall be and remain closed between the hours of 10)b'clock in t ?fternoon and A o'clock in the forenoon of each and every ay of the week, during the whole of the year. 2. That notwithstanding clause number 1 of this by-law, it shall be lawful for any retail gasoline service station located in the said designated portion of the Town of Pickering, to be and remain open between the hours of l0ao'clock in he afternoon and $I?o'clock in the forenoon of each and every day of the week, it--has--been -obtained f,r,.,,r-z lr y=iaw-Department of the Town of Pickering authorizing Altt< such-retail-gasoline service station to be and remain open during such period. In this by-law "retail gasoline service station- means the retail gasoline service industry as defined in the Industrial Standards Act R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 221, Section 24 (1). 6: This by-law shall come into effect on Oc--( i.i97j 611f. Any person convicted of a breach of any of the provisions of this by-law shall forfeit and pay at the description of the convicting magistrate, a penalty not exceeding the sum of $1,000.00 exclusive of costs.
