BY-LAW NUMBER 3 3
A By-law of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering to stop up,
close and sell Sidline 28/29 in
Range III, Broken Front Concession.
WHEREAS the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation
Authority has requested the Town to close and sell that part
of the road allowance between Lots 28 and 29, in Range III
Broken Front Concession, more particularly described in
Schedule "A" attached hereto;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering proposes to stop up, close and sell as a public
highway the lands•described in Schedule "A";
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once
a week for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of the
Municipal Act relating to the stopping-up and selling of a
highway have been complied with, as provided for under the
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, Section 443 (1) (c);
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. That lands described in Schedule "A" hereto
attached are hereby stopped up and closed as
a Public Highway.
2. That lands described in Schedule "A" hereto
attached will be sold to the abutting owners
for the nominal fee of $2.00 (Two Dollars)
(Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation
Authority).
3. The said Schedule "A" hereto attached shall form
a part of this by-law.
4. For the purpose of illustration only a plan
showing the lands described in Schedule "A"
coloured in red and referred to as Schedule "B"
is attached hereto and shall form part of this
By-law.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW NUMBER 233/75
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises, situate, lying and being in The Town of Pickering,
Regional Municipality of Durham (formerly Township of Pickering,
County of Ontario) and being composed of Part of road allowance
between Lots 26 and 29, Range III, B.F.C. and described as
Parts 4 and 5 on a Plan of Survey deposited in the Land Registry
Office for The Regional Municipality of Durham as Number 40R-1935.
