BEING a By-law to amend restricted area
By-law 2511, as amended;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering deems it desirable to provide for retailing as an
accessory use in specific locations within the industrial
area, in Part Lot 20, Range 3 and Part of the South half of
Lot 19, Concession 1, of the Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2511 is necessary to provide
for this accessory use which is in accord with the spirit
and intent of the Official Plan;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED:
A. TEXT AMENDMENT
By-law 2511 as amended, is hereby further amended by
adding thereto the following as Section 16.5 thereof:
16.5 EXEMPTION
16.5.1 Part Lot 20, Range 3, and Part of
the South half of Lot 19, Concession 1.
Notwithstanding the provisions of
Sections 16.1, 16.2, 16.3, and 16.4
hereof retailing as an accessory use
may be operated on that Part of Lot 20,
Range 3, and Part of the South half of
Lot 19, Concession 1 of the Town of
Pickering on the plan annexed hereto
as Schedule "A" in addition to the
uses set out in said Section 16.1:
B. SCHEDULE "A" AMENDMENT
Schedule "A"of By-law 2511 as amended, be and the same
is hereby further amended by altering the zone designation
from "M1" to "M1" (Specific), for the lands designated
as "M1S (Specific)" in Part of Lot 20, Range 3, and
designated as "M1" in Part of the South half of Lot 19,
Concession 1, and shown as shaded on Schedule "A" annexed
hereto.
C. That By-law 2511 be and the same is hereby amended only
to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions
of this By-law.
D. No part of this by-law shall come into force without the
approval of the Ontario Municipal Board. But subject to
such approval this by-law shall take effect from the day
of passing thereof.
