BY-LAW NUMBER 194/75
Being a by-law to amend the
provisions of By-law 193/75, being
a by-law to licence, regulate and
govern Hawkers and Pedlars.
WHEREAS By-law Number 193/75 prohibits the sale of candy,
peanuts, ice cream or ice cream cones from a basket or wagon,
cart or other vehicle upon any highway or part of it, or in
any public park or other public place;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient by the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering to make specific exemption to the provisions
of By-law Number 193/75;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS;
1. That Dickie Dee Ice Cream (Canada) Limited is hereby
authorized to sell ice cream and ice cream cones in
the Town of Pickering on all roads governed by a
30 mile per hour or less speed limit, upon Dickie
Dee Ice Cream (Canada) Limited obtaining licences and
paying the prescribed fees as set out in By-law Number
193/75 for a person with a pushcart or any other vehicle
on wheels or runners drawn or propelled by human
muscular power.
2. That By-law Number 193/75 is hereby amended only to
the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions
of this by-law.
3. By-law Number 4384/73 be and the same is hereby repealed.
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED in
open Council this day of 1975.
