BY-LAW NUMBER ?s
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
in accordance with the provisions of The Regional
Municipality of Durham Act, hereby enacts as follows:
1. The Official Plan for the Township of Pickering
Planning Area (approved by the minister of Municipal
Affairs on February 15th 1963 and subsequently amended)
insofar as it applies to the Town of Pickering District
Planning Area, is hereby repealed.
2. The attached Text and Map Schedules "A", "B", "C",
"D", and "E" constituting the District Plan for the
Town of Pickering is hereby adopted.
3. The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
forward the District Plan to the Council of the Regional
Municipality of Durham for approval, in substitution
for the Township of Pickering Official Plan.
4. This By-law insofar as it relates to the repeal
of the Official Plan for the Township of Pickering shall
not come into force or take effect until the District
Plan for the Town of Pickering is approved by the
Minister of Housing.
