HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 475/76CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER '7b A By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering to stop up, close and sell part of Valley Farm Road in Lot 22, Concession 3. cl?o.f?e6? /(oV.a3 10& WHEREAS the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto has requested the Town to close and sell that part of Valley Farm Road in Lot 22, Concession 3, more particularly described as Part 3 of Plan 40R-3086, as deposited with the Land Registrar of the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40); AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering has entered into an agreement with the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto to stop up, close and sell certain public highways; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering proposes to stop up, close and sell as a public highway the lands described in Schedule "A"; AND WHEREAS the provisions of the Municipal Act relating to the stopping-up and selling of a highway have been complied with, as provided for under the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, Section 443 (1) (c); NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The lands described in Schedule "A" as Part 3, Plan 40R-3086 hereto attached are hereby stopped-up and closed as a public highway. 2. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached will be sold to the abutting owners for a nominal fee of $2.00 (Two Dollars). 3. The said Schedule "A" hereto attached shall form part of this by-law. - 2 - 4. For the purpose of illustration only a plan showing the lands described in Schedule "A" and referred to as Schedule "B" is attached hereto and shall form part of this by-law. 1 By-law read a First and Second time this day of 1976. Mayor SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW NUMBER All and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering in the Region of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of the Allowance for Road in Lot 22, Concession 3, commonly known as Valley Farm Road, and more particularly described as Part 3 of Plan 40R-3086 as deposited with the Land Registrar of the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40).
