BY-LAW NUMBER 3 P 73
Being a by-law to amend the
provisions of By-law 3239, being
a by-law to licence, regulate and
govern Hawkers and Pedlars.
WHEREAS By-law Number 3239 prohibits the sale of candy,
peanuts, ice cream or ice cream cones from a basket or
wagon, cart or other vehicle upon any highway or part of it,
or in any public park or other public place;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient by the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to make a specific exemption to the
provisions of by-law number 3239;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Dickie Dee Ice Cream (Canada) Limited is hereby
authorized to sell ice cream and ice cream cones in

??sed speed limit roads upon Dickie Dee
Ice Cream (Canada) Limited obtaining licences and paying
the prescribed fees as set out in By-law 3239 for a
person with a pushcart or any other vehicle on wheels
or runners drawn or propelled by human muscular power.
2. That by-law Number 3239 is hereby amended only to the
extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of
this by-law.
By-Law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED in open
