BY-LAW NUMBER
Being a by-law to adopt Amendment
Number' 26 of the Official Plan for
the Town of Pickering District
Planning Area, Region of Durham
WHEREAS an Official Plan for the Town of Pickering District
Planning Area, Region of Durham, was prepared by the Planning
Board of the former Township of Pickering, in accordance
with Section 12 of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 349;
AND WHEREAS, Council of the Town of Pickering deems it
expedient to amend the said official Plan in accordance
with the provisions of The Planning Act, and The Regional
Municipality of Durham Act, S.O. 1973, Chapter, 78;
AND WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 12 (1) of The Planning
Act, the Town of Pickering Planning Committee has studied the
physical, social and economic conditions of the Rosebank Area
of the Fairport Planning Community in relation to its development;
AND has held public meetings, published information and consulted
with Municipal and Regional Departments and agencies, organizations
and individuals for the purpose of obtaining their participation
and co-operation in determining the solution of problems or matters
affecting the development of the Rosebank Area;
AND has prepared a plan for the area suitable for adoption as
its Secondary Plan;
AND WHEREAS Council has examined the Secondary Plan for the Rosebank
Community, designated as Amendment Number 26 of the said official
Plan and it is deemed expedient to adopt same;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY EN,
OF PICK€RING That the said Amendment Number
