HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 550/77THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER A By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering to stop up and close a part of Woodgrange Avenue, formerly West Point Crescent. WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of Subsection 1, of Section 443 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, the Council of any municipality may pass by-laws to stop up a highway or part thereof; and WHEREAS the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority has requested the Town to stop up and close as a public highway the lands described in Schedule "A"; and WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a week for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of The Municipal Act relating to the stopping up of a highway have been complied with. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached are hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway. 2. The said Schedule "A" hereto attached shall form a part of this by-law. 3. For the purpose of illustration only a plan showing the lands described in Schedule "A" and referred to as Part 1 of 40R-3430 Plan in Schedule "B" is attached hereto and shall form part of this by-law.
