HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 888/78O.M.B Approved December 15, 1978 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING z BY-LAW NUMBER 888/78 Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law 3036, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of Durham, in Block N-1, Plan M-1059, Town of Pickering. WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering deems it expedient to permit the development of one-family detached dwellings on the subject lands; AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 3036 is therefore deemed necessary; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: BY-LAW 3036 BY-LAW 3036, passed by the Council of the Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Pickering on the 3rd day of August, 1965, and approved by the Ontario Municipal Board on the 7th day of October, 1966, and amended from time to time, is hereby further amended to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of Section 2 hereof. SECTION 2: SCHEDULE "A" AMENDMENT Schedule "A" to By-law 3036, as amended, is hereby further amended by altering from 'A' (Agricultural) to 'R4' (One-family detached dwelling fourth density) the zone designation of the lands designated R4 on Schedule "A" attached hereto, being all of Block N-1, Plan M-1059. SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE No part of this By-law shall come into force without the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, but, subject to such approval, the By-law shall take effect from the date of passing thereof. READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 11th DAY OF September 1978. READ A THIRD TIME AND PASSED THIS 11th DAY OF September 1978.
