BY-LAW NUMBER 886/78
Being a by-law designating certain stadia,
arenas and other recreational areas within
the Municipality, and which are owned and
controlled by the Municipality, as places
where possession of liquor is prohibited.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of
section 46a of The Liquor Licence Act, 1975, S.O. 1975,
chapter 40, as amended by The Liquor Licence Amendment Act,
1978, S.O. 1978, chapter 42, the Council of a Municipality
may, by by-law, designate stadia, arenas and other recrea-
tional areas within the Municipality owned or controlled by
the Municipality as places where possession of liquor is
prohibited;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The stadia, arenas and other recreational areas more
particularly described in Schedule "A" to this by-law
are hereby designated as places where possession of
liquor is prohibited, pursuant to the provisions of
subsection 1 of section 46a of The Liquor Licence Act,
1975, as amended by The Liquor Licence Amendment Act,
1978.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this day of , 1978.
