BY-LAW NUMBER 768/78
A By-law to authorize the construction
of a railway siding across McKay Road
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 3 of
Section 453 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O., 1970, c.284,
by-laws may be passed by the Council of every municipality
for permitting any person to place, construct, install,
maintain and use objects in, on, under or over sidewalks
and highways under its jurisdiction;
AND WHEREAS the Province of Ontario as represented by the
Ministry of the Environment desires to have a railway siding
constructed, maintained and operated by the Canadian National
Railway Company across McKay Road;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby
consents to the construction, maintenance and
operation by the Canadian National Railway Company
of the aforesaid siding on McKay Road.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally
