BY-LAW NO. 983/79
Being a by-law to repeal By-Law 2151 pro-
viding for the inclusion of poultry under
The Livestock Protection Act, R.S.O. 1950,
chapter 107.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 11 of The
Livestock Protection Act, 1950, chapter 107, the Council of
the Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Pickering
enacted By-Law 2151 in order to provide that the provisions
of that Act applied to poultry; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of The Dog Licensing and Livestock
and Poultry Protection Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 133, as amended,
include poultry, without the necessity for a subsequent muni-
cipal By-Law to that effect; and
WHEREAS, therefore the provisions of By-Law 2151 are now
redundant;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. By-Law 2151 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 7th day of May , 1979.
