THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NO. 979/79
Being a by-law to amend By-Law 944/79,
changing the names of streets in Registered
Plans N.-1017 and M-1135.
WHEREAS By-Law 944/79, changing the names of streets in
Registered Plans M-1017 and M-1135 was read a first and
second time by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering on January 22nd, 1979; and
WHEREAS since that date the Corporation has been advised
of the enactment of The Municipal Amendment Act, 1978, S.O.
1978, chapter 101, subsection 2 of section 4 of which amends
the procedures relating to the changing of names of highways;
and
WHEREAS it is therefore necessary to amend By-Law 944/79
prior to third reading and passage thereof;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 3 of By-Law 944/79, as read a first and
second time January 2nd, 1979, is hereby repealed
and the following substituted therefor:
3. This By-Law shall take effect upon the
registration thereof in the proper
Land Titles Office of a copy, certified
under the hand of the Clerk and the
seal of the Corporation.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 2nd day of April, 1979.
