BY-LAW NO. 975/79
Being a by-law to amend By-Law 2947, respec-
ting the licensing, regulating and governing
of salvage yards, second hand goods shops
and dealers in second hand goods.
WHEREAS, on December 14th, 1964, the Council of the
Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Pickering enacted
By-Law 2947, respecting the licensing, regulating and govern-
ing of salvage yards, second hand goods shops and dealers in
second hand goods; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient to amend the said By-
Law at this time;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 16 of By-Law 2947 is hereby revoked and
the following substituted therefor:
16. Any person who contravenes any pro-
vision of this By-Law shall be
guilty of an offence and upon con-
viction therefor, shall be liable
to a penalty not exceeding $1,000,
exclusive of costs, for each
offence.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 2nd day of April , 1979.
