HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 946/79THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 946/79 Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a Transfer between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and the Regional Municipality of Durham of Blocks P, Q, and R, Plan M-1038 (1' reserves - Finch Avenue) WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Item 8 of Schedule "C" of the Subdivision Agreement dated December 21st, 1973 between Runnymede Development Corporation Limited and the Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Pickering, Runnymede Development Corporation Limited was required to dedicate to the Corporation of the Town of Pickering l' reserves along the frontage of Finch Avenue and the corner roundings of intersec- tions therewith; and WHEREAS, Runnymede Development Corporation Limited has transferred, in furtherance thereof, to the Corporation of the Town of Pickering, Blocks P, Q and R on Plan M-1038; and WHEREAS, Finch Avenue is under the jurisdiction of the Regional Municipality of Durham; and WHEREAS, it is therefore deemed expedient to transfer the ownership of the reserves known as Blocks P, Q and R, Plan M-1038 to the Regional Municipality of Durham; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Transfer in the form attached hereto as Schedule "A", between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and the Regional Municipality of Durham respecting the conveyance of Blocks P, Q and R, Plan M-1038 (1' reserves - Finch Avenue).
