BY-LAW NUMBER 1068/79
Being a By-law to change the name of
a portion of Glenview Road to Field-
light Boulevard
WHEREAS pursuant to paragraph 97 of subsection 1 of section
354 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, c. 284, as amended,
councils of local municipalities may pass by-laws to change
the names of highways; and
WHEREAS a portion of Glenview Road is connected to Fieldlight
Boulevard and forms a continuous travelled road; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to change the name of a portion
of Glenview Road to Fieldlight Boulevard;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The name of the highway listed under the heading "Street"
in Schedule "A" attached hereto be changed to the name
listed under the heading "New Street Name" in the location
indicated and for the reason cited.
2. A sketch of Glenview Road and Fieldlight Boulevard is
attached hereto as Schedule "B" for reference purposes
only.
3. This by-law shall take effect upon registration in the
Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham.
