BY-LAW NO. 1045/79
Being a By-Law to appoint Mr. Albert Edward Wilkens
as a By-Law Enforcement officer for certain
purposes (fire route regulations - Sheridan
Mall)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 41 of
subsection 1 of section 354 of The Municipal Act, R.S.0.1970,
chapter 284, the Council of a local Municipality may pass
a By-Law authorizing appointed officers to enter at all
reasonable times upon any property in order to ascertain
whether the provisions of a By-Law are obeyed, and to enforce
or carry into effect the By-Law;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Mr. Albert Edward Wilkens is hereby appointed a
By-Law Enforcement Officer in and for the Town of
Pickering, who is hereby authorized to enter at all
reasonable times upon the lands known as the
Sheridan Mall in order to ascertain whether the
provisions of By-Law 851/78 are obeyed and to enforce
or carry into effect the said By-Law.
2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifi-
cally limited to that set out in section 1 and shall
not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority
set out in section 1.
3. This appointment shall expire at midnight on the
31st day of December, 1979 or upon Mr. Albert Edward
Wilkens ceasing to be an employee of J.D.S. Investments
Limited, or upon J.D.S. Investments Limited ceasing
to be the fee simple owner of the lands known as
the Sheridan Mall, whichever comes first.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 4th day of September , 1979
