BY-LAW NO. 1034/79
Being a By-Law to fix an amount to charge
for a certified statement, by the Treasurer,
of arrears of taxes.
WHEREAS, pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 1 of
Section 549 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284,
as amended by S.O. 1974, chapter 136, Council may determine
by By-Law, the amount to be charged for a search and certi-
fied statement by the Treasurer of arrears of taxes due on
any land; and
WHEREAS, the administration cost of a search and cer-
tified statement is $3.00 for each separate parcel of land;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The amount to be charged for the cost of a search
and certified statement by the Treasurer of
arrears of taxes shall be $3.00 for each parcel
of land for which a search is conducted and a
certified statement issued.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 30th day of July, 1979.
