THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUMBER 1033/79
To amend By-law Number 264/75 to increase
the speed limit on Sheppard Avenue to 50
kilometres (30 miles) per hour.
WHEREAS By-law Number 264/75 allows Council to authorize
the speed limits on highways under the jurisdiction of
the Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to increase the speed
limit on Sheppard Avenue from 40 kilometres (25 miles)
per hour to 50 kilometres (30 miles) per hour;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule "A" of By-law 264/75 is hereby amended
by deleting the following line:
Sheppard Avenue Fairport Road White's Road
2. This By-law shall take effect upon approval by
the Regional Municipality of Durham.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally
PASSED this 30th day of July, 1979.
