BY-LAW NO. 609 8/03
Being a by-law to authorize staff to
commence all proceedings necessary for the
acquisition of the land being Part of Water Lot
3, on Registered Plan No. 65, in the City of
Pickering, Regional Municipality of Durham,
also shown as being Part 3 on Registered
Plan 40R-17343.
WHEREAS the Corporation of the City of Pickering is desirous of developing and
completing a waterfront park and waterfront trail in the vicinity of Frenchman's Bay; and
WHEREAS the Corporation has acquired various parcels of land on the east side of
Frenchman's Bay west of Front Street which lands will be used to construct and
complete "Progress Bayfront Park"; and
WHEREAS the Corporation, in order to complete Progress Bayfront Park, must acquire
those lands municipally known as 670 Front Street, which lands are located on the
southwest side of Front Street and the eastern shore of Frenchman's Bay;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to commence
all proceedings necessary for the acquisition of the land being Part of Water Lot
3, on Registered Plan No. 65, in the City of Pickering, Regional Municipality of
Durham, also shown as being Part 3 on Registered Plan 40R-17343.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 3rd day of February,
2003.
