BY-LAW NUMBER 1201/80
Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend
Restricted Area By-law 2511, as amended,
to implement the Official Plan of the
Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham, on Part of Lot 19,
Concession 1, in the Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering passed By-law 929/78, amending By-law 2511,
on December 21st, 1978, to permit the establishment of
storage and commercial automotive uses, including
restaurants, on the subject lands, being part of Lot
19, Concession 1, Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS By-law 929/78 was approved by the Ontario
Municipal Board on the 30th day of January 1979;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering now deems it desirable to amend By-law 929/78
to permit the operation of a farm and recreational vehicle
service and sales establishment;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENT
(a) Section 2, Part A, of By-law 929/78 is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following
definition:
(j) "Farm and Recreational Vehicle Service and
-5-ales Estab ishment"shat mean an estab ishment
in which farm and recreational vehicles and
accessories are stored, repaired or serviced
and wherein the retail sale of such vehicles
or accessories may be permitted providing:
(i) no more than 50 percent of the gross floor
area of the establishment is used for
retail purposes; and
(ii) all vehicles and accessories are stored,
displayed or kept totally within an
enclosed structure or structures on the lot.
(b) Section 2, Part B, of By-law 929/78 is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following permitted
use:
(g) farm and recreational vehicle service and sales
establishments

2. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing
hereof, subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal
Board, if required.
