BY-LAW NUMBER 1114/80
Being a by-law to change the name of
Brooks Court to Houston Court in Plan
M-1189.
WHEREAS pursuant to paragraph 97 of subsection 1 of section
354 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, c. 284, as amended,
councils of local municipalities may pass by-laws to change
the name of highways; and
WHEREAS Brooks Court in Plan M-1189 is not a street name
which is approved by the Regional Municipality of Durham;
and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to change the name of Brooks
Court to Houston Court;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. The name of the highway listed under the heading
"Street" in Schedule "A" attached hereto be changed
to the name listed under the heading "New Street
Name" in the location indicated and for the reason
cited.
2. A sketch of Houston Court in Plan M-1189 is attached
hereto as Schedule "B" for reference purposes only.
3• This by-law shall take effect upon registration in
the Registry Office for the Registry Division of
Durham.
