HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1082/80THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN BY-LAW NUMBER 1082/80 PICKERING Being a By-law to amend By-law 3037. as amended, to allow for the conversion of zoning standards and provisions therein from imperial units to metric units. L WHEREAS By-law 3037 was passed by the Council of the Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Pickering on the 3rd day of August, 1965,and approvedby the Ontario Municipal Board on the 10th day of November, 1965; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering now deems it desirable to amend By-law 3037 . as amended, to allow for the conversion of the zoning standards and provisions therein from imperial units to metric units; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: BY-LAW 3037 By-law 3037, as amended, is hereby further amended by substituting for each imperial unit therein, the corresponding metric unit according to the provisions of Schedules "I", "II.", and"III"attached hereto. SECTION 2: EXEMPTIONS Notwithstanding Section 1 hereof, the sections or schedules of By-law 3037,or amendments hhereto,.set out in Schedule "IV"attached hereto, shall not be amended by the provisions of Section 1 of this By-law. SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE This By-law shall take effect from the date of passing.hereof.
