BY-LAW NO. 1080/80
Being a By-Law to delegate to the Director
of Planning the powers and authority of the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering under section 35a of The Planning
Act, as amended by The Planning Amendment
Act, 1979.
WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering enacted By-Law 1079/80 on January 21st, 1980,
designating a site plan control area pursuant to the provi-
sions of section 35 of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter
349, as amended by The Planning Amendment Act, 1979, S.O.
1979, chapter 59; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 10
of the said section 35a, the Council may, by By-Law, delegate
to an appointed officer of the Municipality identified by
position occupied, the Council's powers or authority under
the said section 35a;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The powers or authority of the Council of the
Corporation of the Town of Pickering under
section 35a of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1970,
chapter 349, as amended by The Planning Amend-
ment Act, 1979, S.O. 1979, chapter 59, except
the authority to define any class or classes
of development as mentioned in clause a of
subsection 10 of the said section 35a, are
hereby delegated to the Director of Planning
of the Town of Pickering.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 21st day of January , 1980.
