BY-LAW NUMBER 1077/80
Being a By-law to amend By-law 2511, as
amended, to allow f•pr'the conversion of
zoning standards and provisions therein
from imperial units to metric units.
WHEREAS By-law 2511 was passed by the Council of the
Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Pickering on
the 5th day of October, 1960,and approved by the Ontario
Municipal Board on the 3rd day of January, 1963;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering now deems it desirable to amend By-law 2511, as
amended, to allow for the conversion of the zoning standards
and provisions therein from imperial units to metric units;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: BY-LAW 2511
By-law 2511, as amended, is hereby further amended by
substituting for each imperial unit therein, the corresponding
metric unit according to the provisions of Schedules "I.", "II
and "III'Vttached hereto.
SECTION 2: EXEMPTIONS
Notwithstanding Section 1 hereof, the sections or schedules
of By-law 2511, or amendments -thereto,.setr-? out-in -
Schedule "IV" attached hereto, shall not be amended by the
provisions of Section 1 of this By-law.
SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This By-law shall take effect from the date of passing hereof.
