BY-LAW NUMBER 1364/81
Being a by-law to prohibit turns at
certain intersections or portions of
highways within the Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS pursuant to subsection 117 of section 210 of The Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 302, by-laws may be passed by the councils of
local municipalities for regulating traffic on the highways; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to prohibit turns at certain inter-
sections or portions of highways within the Town of Pickering;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. No vehicle in any intersection or portion of highway set
out in Column I of Schedule "A" to this by-law proceeding
in the direction or emerging from a property set out in
Column II of the said Schedule, shall be turned in the
direction set out in Column III of the said Schedule,
during the times or days set out in Column IV of the said
Schedule.
2. Every person who contravenes this by-law is guilty of an
offence and on conviction is liable to a fine of Thirty
Dollars ($30.00) for each offence, exclusive of costs.
3. This by-law shall come into force on the date that it is
approved by the Regional Municipality of Durham and when
signs to the effect are erected.
4. By-law 384/76 is hereby repealed.

this 21st day of September, 1981.
