BY-LAW NUMBER 1224/81
Being a by-law to amend By-law 1047/79
fixing the salaries of the Commissioners
of the Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 21 of section
2 of The Durham Municipal Hydro-Electic Service Act, 1979,
S.O. 1979, c. 71, as amended, the Council of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering enacted, on September 17, 1979,
By-law 1047/79 to fix the salaries of the Commissioners of
the Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission for the period expir-
ing November 30, 1980; and
WHEREAS by resolution dated December 17, 1980, the Pickering
Hydro-Electric Commission applied to the Council of the Town
of Pickering to maintain the salaries of the Chairman and
Commissioners of the said Commission until November 30, 1981;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 1 of By-law 1047/79 is hereby amended by
deleting the date "1980" and substituting therefor
the date "1981".
2. This By-law shall be deemed to have become effective
on December 1, 1980.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED
this 19th day of January, 1981.
