BY-LAW NUMBER 1574./82
Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend
Restricted Area By-law 2520, as amended,
to implement the Official Plan of the
Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham on Part Block Y, Plan M-16
in the Town of Pickering~
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering passed By-law 3991/71, amending By-law 2520,
to permit the establishment of multiple family dwelling
units on the subject lands being Part Block Y, Plan M-16
Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering now deems it desirable to further amend By-law
2520 as amended by By-law 3991/81, to permit the
establishment of a day nursery in addition to presently
permitted uses;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. BY-LAW 2520
By-law 2520, passed by Council of the Corporation of
the Township (now Town) of Pickering on the 3rd day
of June 1960, and approved by the Ontario Municipal
Board on the 22nd day of March !961, and amended
from time to time, is hereby further amended only to
the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions
of this By-law
TEXT AMENDMENT
Section 9.4.1.2. of By-law 2520, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
9~4.1.2 d) (i)
For the purpose of this paragraph
the term 'Day Nursery - Type A'
shall mean. lands and premises duly
licenced pursuant to the Day Nurseries
Act, or any successor thereto, for use
as a facility for the daytime care of
not more than forty (40) children at
any one time.
(ii)
The lands known as Parcel 2 on Schedule
lA to By-law Number 3991/71 being Part
Block Y, Plan M-16 may be used for the
purpose of a Day Nursery Type A.

3. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from
hereof, subject to the approval of
Municipal Board, if required.
