HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1508/82THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 1508/82 Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law 2511, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of Durham, on Part of Lot 18, Concession 1, in the Town of Pickering. WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering deems it desirable to amend By-law 2511, as amended, to permit the retail sale of automobiles and automobile parts in addition to uses presently permitted on the subject property. AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2511, as amended, is therefore deemed necessary; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. BY°LAW 2511 By-law 2511, passed by the Council of the Corporation of the Township (now Town) of Picketing on the 5th day of October 1960, and approved by the Ontario Municipal Board on the 3rd day of January, 1963, and amended from time to time, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law. TEXT AMENDMENT Section 17 of By-law 2511, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following subsection: 17.4 EXCEPTIONS 17.4.1 Part Lot 18, Concession 1 (1) Definitions For the purpose of this subsection "Vehicle Sales Shop." shall mean an establishment in wh'ich vehicles are displayed for sale, sold or both. 12) Provisions In addition to the provisions of Section 17.1 hereof, the lands designated M2-2 on Schedule "I" to By-law 150B/B2 may be used for the purpose of a vehicle sales shop in accordance with Section 17.2 provided that the following requirements are met: A vehicle sales shop may be permitted only in combination with a motor vehicle repair shop on the site; continued... (2)(b) (c) Not more than 20 percent of the aggregate of the gross floor areas of the motor vehicle repair shop and vehicle sales shop establishments shall be used for the display or sale of vehicles; All vehicles for sale or being displayed shall be kept totally within an enclosed structure or structures on the lot. o EFFECTIVE DATE This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof, subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
